LAS VEGAS OPEN: BIADO AND CORTEZA IN ALL FILIPINO FINAL; CENTENO FACES CHINA'S CHEN IN WOMEN'S FINAL

The Filipinos reign supreme in the 2024 Pro Billiards Series Las Vegas 10-ball Open with Carlo Biado and Lee Van Corteza tangling for the crown today while in the women's division Chezka Centeno squares off with China's Siming Chen for the title.
Biado defeated Tyler Styer of the United States in the quarterfinals, 2-1 and followed it up by trashing world's top player Francisco Sanchez Ruiz of Spain, 2-0, in the semifinals.
Not to be outdone, Lee Van Corteza bested Alex Kazakis of Greece in the quarters, 2-0 and then another 2-0 demolition of Ko Ping Chung of Taiwan in the semifinals.

Biado and Corteza therefore are the last men standing out of the 96 world's top players invited to the tournament from Feb. 21 to 24 with the winner running away with the $30,000 champion's purse while the runner-up going home with $14,000.
Chezka Centeno defeated Chieh-Yu Chou of Taiwan in the quarters, 2-1 and Seoa Seo of Korea in the semifinals, 2-1. Centeno will face Siming Chen of China for the $18,000 top prize with the loser earning $10,500.
