LAS VEGAS OPEN by RUMS OF PUERTO RICO: BIADO, CORTEZA IN QUARTERFINALS

The 2024 Las Vegas Open presented by Rums of Puerto Rico enters its final stages on day 4.
The Men's event has whittled down to the last 8 competitors, while the Women's division has narrowed to the last 4 contenders.
Shane Van Boening faced a defeat at the hands of Albin Ouschan in the last 32.
Two times defending champion Wiktor Zielinski was unable to defend his title as Fedor Gorst emerged victorious in a thrilling encounter in the last 16.
John Morra delivered a remarkable performance by knocking out world number 1 Joshua Filler in the last 32, further shaking up the competition.
Men’s quarterfinals start at 10am US PST:
• Lee Van Corteza vs Alex Kazakis
• Albin Ouschan vs Ko Ping Chung
• Carlo Biado vs Tyler Styer
• Francisco Sanchez Ruiz vs Fedor Gorst
In the Women's division, Kelly Fisher suffered an early exit after being bested by the young Bojana Šarac. As the competition progresses, Asian dominance in the Women's event becomes apparent, with seven out of eight quarterfinalists hailing from Asia, with only Jasmin Ouschan representing Austria.
The semifinals of the Women's event scheduled to commence at 3pm US PST, followed by the Men's final at 5.30pm US PST and the Women's final at 8pm US PST.
