Rementizo, Dervis, Shiva, Coleman, Rohila Make Weight for Highland Show at SpacePlus in Bangkok, Thailand

PhilBoxing.com

BANGKOK, Thailand — Fighters were on the scales for “ROAR OF TIGERS,” the Highland Boxing Promotions’ 7-bout show set for Thursday, August 31, at the starry and elegant Spaceplus Night Club, RCA Plaza, in Bangkok, Thailand.

In one of the main attractions, world-ranked WBC #12 light flyweight Marco John Rementizo (14-4, 11 KO’s) of Cagayan de Oro City puts his world ranking on the line when he wages war against Thai fearsome combatant Jinnawat Rienpit.

Rementizo came in at 50.9 kilos, while Jinnawat made 50.73, and the Pinoy and the Thai are ready to rumble.

On stage, the Mindanao boxer appeared shorter than his Thai foe.
But we all know that In boxing it is skills, speed, heart and power what defines the winner.

Let’s find out if the Thai fighter will know how to use his height and reach advantage over the brave, glory-hungry, fast Pinoy.

In the main event, Briton Troy Coleman (11-2, 4 KO’s) of Burntwood, Staffordshire, England, fights tough warrior Shiva Thakran (17-4-1, 9 KO’s) of Gurgaon, Delhi, India, a fighter trained by Indian star coach Brijesh Kumar of CSM Promotions India.

The skilled bearded Englishman, wearing black shorts during today’s weigh-in ceremony, scaled-in at 72.2 kilos, with the strong Indian warrior doing 71.9.

Their 10-rounder WBC Asia and ABF regional title fight is in the 160-pound weight-class.

Both 28-year-old fighters have already scored exciting wins in Thailand, feeling confident of claiming another scintillating triumph.

Fantastic, but who will the big winner be?

AND MORE BOXING: 🥊

In hot women’s action, Sheau Ru Yang (4-0, 3 KO’s) of Hong Kong, a boxer, as well as a black belt in judo, battles Big heart Filipina Actub Kim (8-11-1, 5 KO’s) of Iligan, Lanao del Norte, in a ten-chapter regional WBC Asia title war in the super flyweight division.

The cute Hong Kong girl made 51.8 kgs, with the Filipina topping the scale at 51.7.

In big heavyweight action, Italian Alessio Bisutti of Mirano, Veneto, wearing the black spider shirt of his gym. Vic Sports Complex, clashes hard against more-experienced Thai big man Prakop Chinram of Khorat.

Alessio recorded 102.2 kilos, while Prakop made 106.2.

In super middleweights, hard-hitting 🇦🇺 Jed Morris (2-0, 2 KO’s) of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia engages Thailand’s 25-year-old man of action 🇹🇭 Banpot Khaoiam (4-5-1, 4 JO’s), in a 4-chapters action-packed rumble.

The tall Aussie recorded 79.4 kilos, with the Thai Banpot stepping-on at 79.

In a thrilling battle of unbeaten super welters, 🇫🇷 24-year-old “The Tiger” Dervis Florent (6-0, 4 KO’s) of Privas, Ardèche, France, trades hard bombs against Indian Army soldier 🇮🇳 Sachin Rohila (7-0, 1 KO).

The bearded Dervis tipped the scale at 69.1 with the Indian soldier Rohila weighing-in at 69.2.

Their eight-frame battle can not be missed as one might get his undefeated record shattered. Who will that one be?

And, in another clash of unbeaten warriors, “The Markhor” Shahir Afridi (7-0-1, 4 KO’s) of Karachi, Pakistan, takes on undefeated Rongroojlek Singmanasak Gym (5-0-1) of Thailand.

Shahir a bit heavy at 76.8, with Rongroojlek making 72.4 kgs.

Their non-title 6-frame hard collision is a can’t-be-missed fight that might not make the distance.

The exciting show “Roar of Tigers” on August 31 at the plush Spaceplusb Bangkok is a promotion of Brico Langbay Santig and Supanat Chanram of the Highland Boxing Gym ค่ายมวยไทย มวยสากล

The event will air live on MVTV Thailand.

Fans outside Thailand may watch online for free from Highland Boxing YouTube Channel, also from the official website of the television station MVTV Thailand and may also be watched from the Facebook page of Highland Boxing.

The first bout starts at 3 pm (Thailand Time UTC + 7). Total 7 bouts.

Good luck to all. May the best men and woman win!
