BANGKOK, Thailand — Filipino super lightweight challenger Jose “Verdugo” Roda (8-2-2, 1 KO) born in the paradise Province of Romblon, and his coach former fighter Rene Bañares of Malabon City, Metro Manila, feel confident and strong ahead of Jose’s battle against Thailand’s 19-year-old unbeaten rising-star WBA Asia super lightweight champion Phoobadin Yoohanngoh (16-0, 9 KO’s).
The scheduled 10-round action battle is the main event of the 5-bout “The Fighter Thailand” Promotion on Saturday, April 1, at the cozy SpacePlus Bangkok, live in Thailand on WorkPoint TV Channel 23.

However, boxing fans outside Thailand may watch the "Phoobadin vs Roda" battle live for free from the promoter's Facebook Page (The Fighter Thailand) and YouTube channel (TL Boxing Promotion).
The exciting Saturday afternoon fighting action starts at 2 pm local Thailand Time (3 pm in the Philippines).
During these days leading to his big mission, the 28-year-old Jose "Verdugo" Roda and his coach fine-tune preparation at Brico Santig's Highland Boxing Gym in Bangkok.
Will Jose Roda get back into the winning column by rocking and defeating the world-ranked WBA # 12 Phoobadin, taking his belt and place in the world ranking?
Or will the Thai Phoobadin be able to outbox and outsmart the brave Romblomanon with superior skills and speed?
May the Best Man Win!
