Calacday, Tayag, Soliman lead local charge in Tarlac chess tourney

MANILA---Henry Calacday, Jesus Tayag and Arnold Soliman hope to make the province proud as they lead the local charge against a group of strong Metro Manila players and nearby provinces in the Tarlac City Chess Club Open Chess Tournament 2023 to be held on January 29 at the SM City, Tarlac.
" I hope to do well in this event," said Calacday, the pride of Tarlac City.
Other local bets whose eyes are also on the prize are Eric Calacday, James Henry Calacday, Jericho Calacday, Jacob Sta. Ana, Renante Santos, Angelo Landingin, Marlon Salamida, Rey Martin and Vic Domingo.
The champion in the Open Category Under 2200 will bring home P7,000 plus trophy while the winner in the 12 years old and below category will receive P3,000 plus trophy.
