Mama to fight undefeated Robles

FLYWEIGHT Jerven “Iron Fight” Mama of General Santos City will make a comeback fight since suffering his loss last year in Cebu.
Mama will also make his first comeback fight in Cebu against undefeated Berland Robles on October 15 at the Consolacion in Cebu.
Mama lost to unbeaten Mark Vicelles of Lebak, Sultan Kudarat by a knockout in the last 10th round at the IPI Tingub Gym in Mandaue City.
“I’m currently five pounds over the limit,” said Mama.
He is sparring with Vince Paras (17-2-1, 15KOs) and Judy Flores (10-1-0, 6KOs).
Mama and his twin brother Jayson (17-1-0, 9KOs) recently graduated BS Criminology at the Holy Trinity College last June.
“Right now since we are now graduates, we are now going to focus on our boxing career,” said Mama.
Mama said that “may the best man wins” in the coming fight against Robles.
Robles, on the other hand, has five wins with three of them in 2022.
The 22-year old Robles retired Jovani Casin in the 4th round last March 19 at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club.
He then scored a unanimous decision over Reymark Alicaba of Digos City last May 21 in Sibonga. Robles decision also Ramel Antaran in Sarangani last August 7 in Sibonga.
