CANELO AND GGG READY TO RUMBLE: WEIGHTS & PHOTOS

The highly anticipated Canelo vs GGG Trilogy gets underway Saturday night (Sunday morning in Manila) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with the undisputed super middleweight title at stake promoted by Matchroom and will be available on Pay-Per-View at DAZN.

Mexican superstar Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (57-2-2, 39KOs) and Kazakh long-time middleweight champion Ginnadiy 'GGG' Golovkin (41-1-1, 37KOs) have a genuine dislike at each other owing to the highly debatable results of their first two fights which ended in a draw in the first fight in 2017 and a majority decision win for Canelo in the second fight in 2018.

The clamor for a third fight has been going on since but has only came into fruition four years after. Canelo trod his own path by conquering the higher weights in impressive fashion beating champion after champion in the super middleweight and light heavyweight. His recent loss to WBA light heavyweight champion Dimitrii Bivol may finally had paved the way for his unfinished business with GGG. All in all Canelo fought eight world champions since the second GGG fight.

Golovkin meanwhile has only fought four times in the last four years and although he won all of them he struggled quite a bit against names that do not register heavily on the fear factor. Now at 40, Golovkin needs to resurrect his fearsome self to have a chance against the 32-year-old Canelo, the heavy beating favorite. Additionally Golovkin will be fighting for the first time in the super middleweight 168 lbs division which may work against his favor. Golovkin was fighting at the middleweight 160 lbs division all his previous 44 fights.

During Friday's weighin in Las Vegas, Canelo came in at 167.4 lbs while GGG stepped the scales at 167.8 lbs.

In the co-feature, rising star Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez faces Israel Gonzalez for the WBC super flyweight title. Rodriguez weighed in at 114.8 lbs while Israel was at 114.6 lbs.

Other weights:

Gabriel Rosado - 167.6 lbs vs Ali Akhmedov - 167.8 lbs.

Austin Williams - 160 lbs vs Kieron conway - 159.2 lbs.

Diego pacheco 167 lbs vs Enrique Collazo - 167.8 lbs.
