THE officials of the Boxing Worldwide Organization (BWO) will be coming here in the Philippines to witness the title fight for the vacant BWO Asia bantamweight championship on August 5 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
According to US-based promoter Aljoe Jaro, expected to arrive here are BWO president Enoch Cruz and vice-president Mirlo de Castro.
“They will personally bring the BWO belt,” said Jaro.
Pitted for the first-ever 12-round BWO title-fight are Edward “General” Heno of Paranaque City against Roenel “Hitman” Pael of Matalom, Leyte.
Supporting the event are former World Boxing Council World flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro of Silay City and undefeated RV Deniega of General Santos City.
The big time boxing promotion is presented by the Jaro International Promotion and 5 Star Entertainment/Promotion Inc. USA.
“We need to make a champion again. Heno is a good prospect,” said Jaro.
Jaro said that they took Hero because they saw a potential in him.
“Heno can beat any champion in the 115 or 118 lbs. He just needs good training and diet,” said Jaro.
