1st Grandmaster Rosendo Carreon Balinas Jr. Murcia Exclusive Memorial Chess Tournament on July 16

MANILA---FUTURE grand masters (GMs) in this part of the country will converge as the 1st Grandmaster Rosendo Carreon Balinas Jr. Murcia Exclusive Memorial Chess Tournament gets underway at 7:30 a.m. July 16 at The Murcia Public Plaza Covered Court in Murcia, Negros Occidental.
Murciahanon players are expected to compete and vie for the top prize P5,000 in this event sponsored by Dr. Jose "Joe" Carreon Balinas, Engr. Antonio "Tony" Carreon Balinas and Balinas Family with the cooperation of Local Government Unit of Murcia, Negros Occidental.
The second placer will get P3,000 , third placer will receive P2,000, fourth placer will bring home P1,500 while the fifth placer will pocket P1,000.
Sixth to 10th placers will go home P500 each while 11th to 20th placers will take P300 each.
Tournament Promoter Butch Firmeza said that the deadline of submission/ entries on July 15.-Marlon Bernardino-
