MANILA---The Hon. Manny D. Pacquiao and Changsuk Lyu Open Tatluhan Team Chess Tournament is slated on July 31, 2022, Sunday at the Alphaland Mall beside MRT Magallanes Station in Makati City.
“Each team composed of three players must only have an average rating of 2000 local ratings based on January 2021," said United States chess master Rodolfo "Jun" Panopio Jr., a close confidante of Pacquiao.
It is a seven round Swiss system format.
The team champion will earn P30,000 plus a trophy and a medals. The second placer will get P20,000 plus a trophy and a medals while the third placer will receive P15,000 plus a trophy and a medals.
The fourth placer will bring home P9,000 plus medals while the fifth placer will pocket P7,000 plus medals.
P3,000 each awaits to the sixth to tenth placer as well top 1950 and below and top senior 55 above.
“Teams expected to see action are coming from Metro Manila and nearby provinces such as Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, and Rizal," said Panopio.
