Bulacan now ready to fight Laurente

UNBEATEN Richard Bulacan of Carmen, Davao del Norte is now ready to fight undefeated Criztian Pitt “Golden Boy” Laurente of General Santos City for the Philippine GAB Youth super featherweight championship on June 18 in in Mobo, Masbate City.

“I'm ready now. I’m not really affected by our amateur boxing fight where I got defeated,” said Bulacan.

The 23-year-old Bulacan lost by unanimous decision to Laurente.

But Bulacan has improved a lot since he turned pro. He already piled up eight wins with six knockouts.

“We're used to fighting, there's a bit of pressure but we can handle it,” said the 5-foot-7 Bulacan.

Bulacan thinks that his fight with Laurente will be a good one.

“Hope nothing happens to the two of us,” said Bulacan.

Bulacan is scheduled to leave for Masbate on June 15 via Manila-Sorsogon. He will be accompanied by his manager Rowena Pascual Pineda and coach Melo Miranda.

The Bulacan-Laurente 10-rounder is dubbed as The “Battle of the Undefeated”.

The official weigh-in will be on June 17 at 10 a.m. at the Mobo municipal hall.

It is sanctioned by the Games and Amusements Board and sponsored by Mayor Raymund “Doni” Salvacion and Governor Antonio “Tony” Kho. .

It is also sponsored by Bingo Plus and powered by promoter Gerry “Fearless” Penalosa of Gerrypens Boxing Promotion, Kumbat Sports Kalayaan, Makati Viajero and MaruNeo.
