MANILA---The newest staging of the National Inter-cities and Inter-municipalities not only attracted the upcoming chessplayers of the land but old warriors as well who want to prove that they still retain the hunger and competitiveness of the youth.
Atty Quirino Sagario formed a team of grizzled veterans to test the mettle of the young breed. Atty Sagario at 71 years of age and the founding chairman of the National Chess Federation of the Philippines will be the oldest participant and together with Joselito Dormitorio at 67 and Mardonio Fuentes at 60 will have the highest rating among teams in terms of age.-Marlon Bernardino-
