Biado to banner National 10 Ball tour in Naga City

MANILA---Former World Champion Carlo Biado will spearhead a strong cast clashing in the National 10-Ball Tournament set May 3 to 7, 2022 at Robinson's Mall in Naga City.
The 38-year-old Biado looms as the player to beat owing to his magnificent performance this year winning numerous tournament in the United States.
The Rosario, La Union native Biado scored a career breakthrough when he toppled Jayson Shaw of the UK, 11–7, to win the men's 9-ball event of the 2017 World Games in Wroclaw, Poland.
Also in 2017, Biado beat countryman Roland Garcia, 13–5, to win the 2017 WPA World Nine-ball Championship in Doha, Qatar.
In 2021, Biado trounced Aloysius Yapp of Singapore, 13–8, to win the U.S. Open Pool Championship. With the win, Biado became the first Filipino in 27 years to win the tournament since Double World Champion Efren "Bata" Reyes.
"I hope to do well in this event," said Biado, who is also scheduled to represent the country in the upcoming 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) in Hanoi, Vietnam next month.
The event, organized by Raymund Faraon, supported by friends of mayor Nelson Legacion, offers a total pot prizes of P400,000 based in 100 participants.
Registration fee is P2,000 in this race-to-7, alternate break format.
Other world renowned pool masters vying in the event, are Roland Garcia, Johann Chua, Jeffrey Ignacio, James Aranas, Jerico Bañares, Ronnie Alcano, Lee Van Corteza, Antonio Lining, Jonas Magpantay and Anton Raga.-Marlon Bernardino-
