Aldea retains RP lightweight title

ROLDAN “The Cobra” Aldea of Negros Occidental again retained his Philippine GAB lightweight title by stopping Monico “Mekaniko” Laurente of Agusan del Sur in the 4th round yesterday, April 25 in San Andres, Quezon.
“Yes it's over. I won by TKO. He quit,” said Aldea.
It was the second title-fight between Aldea and Laurente.
Aldea first stopped Laurente in the 2nd round last February 1, 2020 at the Flash Grand Ballroom of the Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City.
Aldea now has 17 wins with 10 knockouts against eight loses and one draw while Laurente has 18 loses with 30 wins and seven knockouts.
It was promoted by Gabriel “Bebot” Elorde Jr. with Patrick Pante as the matchmaker.
