Newest PCL Team Nueva Ecija to use Chess Knights as moniker

MANILA---The Nueva Ecija Chess Knights (NECK) is a new team in the Philippine Chess League (PCL), and they will debut in the league's third season on April 8, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. via the lichess platform.
Chess Knights will be the official moniker of Nueva Ecija. The team will be led by 2019 World’s random 960 1st Qualifier Stage Champion Catrihino Pestaňo, PCAP all Filipino Champion Team 2019(HG) Candidate Master Arjie Bayangat, Arena FIDE Master Gener Subia, former NCAA’s top caliber players and medalists Jet Curioso and Jhoemar Mendiogarin, Palarong Pambansa and National PRISAA Medalists Russel Velasquez, Zomer Amir, Christian Paulite, Spencer Real & Lian Romantico and Nueva Ecija Champions Leonardo Navarro and Eduardo Lacson.
Other members of the Nueva Ecija Chess Knights are former and present school varsity players and winners such as Anthony Kim Cabacungan, Juanito Guerrero, Hareve James Sumatra, Gino Angelo Asuncion, Joshua Navarro, Era Bauto, Chelsie Angeli Amir, Chessica Fiona Sadey, Mateo Rizal Valante and siblings Vhione Jasper and Vhiene Jander Ranoco.
The team will be coached by former Palarong Pambansa and PRISAA medalists, FO Benjamin Bauto, PO Alfredo Sarmiento Jr & FO Dominador David Dysangco III, managed by Mrs. Millicent Marie Subia & Ms. Millery Gen Subia and sponsored by Mrs. Maricar Quitevis-Peňa of ESP Construction and PO Zhander Gem Guillermo.-Marlon Bernardino-
