By Lito delos Reyes PhilBoxing.com Fri, 15 Jan 2021

DAVAO CITY – The title-fight between world champion Naoya “Monster” Inoue of Japan and challenger Michael “Hot and Spicy” Dasmariñas of Pili, Casmarines Sur is not yet sure according to Dasmariñas’ manager-promoter Art Monis.
“Wala pa yan Sir. Pag may IBF sanction letter na ipadala sa amin team and contract na sure na yan Inoue vs. Dasmarinas (That is not yet there Sir. When there is already a IBF sanction letter sent to our team and the contract, only then that the Inoue vs. Dasmariñas is sure),” said Monis.
Monis said that he is still waiting for MP Promotion president Sean Gibbons’ confirmation and to know other details on the last week of March or first week of April.
“Pero wala pa info (But no info yet),” said Monis.
Monis added: “Pero sure ko lang Sir sa kanya (Gibbons) mabuti baka mamaya ma fake news tayo kahiya. (But I'm just making sure Sir that I heard it from him (Gibbons). If we announce it and it will not push thru then it will just be fake news and it's shameful).”
The 27-year-old Inoue (20W-0L, 17KOs) is the WBA and IBF world champion while the 28-year-old Dasmariñas (30W-2L-1D, 20KOs) is the IBF No. 1 rated contender.
