SHAKUR STEVENSON STOPS CARABALLO IN SIX (PHOTOS)

Boxing is back and Shakur Stevenson is definitely back overpowering his opponents. The Rio Olympics silver medalist, of Newark, New Jersey, totally dominated Felix Caraballo every round before dropping the Puerto Rican for good in the 6th round with a crunching right to the left side of body followed by a lethal left to the solar plexus as Caraballo crumbles in pain. The 1:31 of the 6th round.
Thus Top Rank's initial salvo to have live boxing back ended successfully at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas Tuesday night (Wednesday in Manila) televised live on ESPN.
Stevenson (14-0-0, 8KOs) the current WBO featherweight champion and fighting for the first as a super featherweight, made Caraballo (13-2-2, 9KOs) a target practice with his highly accurate combinations that dropped the Puerto Rican in the opening round with a head-body combo. Stevenson continued to dish out power shots on Caraballo until the body shots finally put an end to the punishment in the 6th round.
Stevenson, 22, captured the WBO featherweight title in Jan. 2019 and defended it three times the last one against highly regarded Joet Gonzalez of Los Angeles, CA who at the time of their meeting was undefeated with a 23 wins to his credit. With fast hands, agile feet and great defense, Stevenson aims to be the next Floyd Mayweather in boxing.
