PLANIA FACES WBO #1 GREER IN CLOSED DOOR LAS VEGAS SHOWDOWN

Filipino world ranked bantamweight prospect “Magic” Mike Plania (W23 KO12 L1) will clash with WBO number 1 ranked bantamweight Joshua Greer Jr. (W22 KO12 L1 D1) in Top Rank’s closed door event. The fight will be held on June 16 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. A catch-weight of 120 pounds have been agreed.
Plania will be the first Filipino to fight since the COVID19 lockdown. The fighter cannot contain his excitement in finally coming out and fight after months of hiatus due to the worldwide pandemic.
“I am so lucky to be the first fighter from the Philippines to be called to duty. As a warrior it is my pleasure to come out and see action especially with an elite fighter like Joshua Greer. I am aware of my underdog status in this fight but it will serve as my inspiration to come out and win this big. Thanks to God, Sanman promotions, MR Promotions, Knucklehead and Top Rank for this chance,” Plania stated.
