Here, we will be looking into their most recent successes and the effect that this can have on the sport.

Major Successes In The Olympics

Though the Olympics has not been postponed until 2022 it is the success of the Philippine boxing squad that saw one of there major team members qualify with a podium finish. After fighting well in all his rounds Eumir Felix Marcial finished top of his weight class. This was the moment for boxing in this country and has shown the level of growth that this team have experienced since the last Olympic games.

The Young Rising Star

Eumir Felix Marcial has by far been one of the most popular stars to come out of Philippine boxing in the last few months. With multiple years of training under his belt, the 24-year-old rising star has a vast amount of untapped potential to offer. As he continues to train for the Olympic games that are now taking place in 2021, he stands in good stead to potentially win a medal for his country in the weight class.
