NBA -- White shines as Bulls rip Knicks By Phil Hatzitheodorou PhilBoxing.com Wed, 13 Nov 2019 ![]() CHICAGO - Coby White is only 19 years young. And he's just a rookie out of the blue-chip program that his North Carolina. But with his college coach, Roy Williams, sitting in the rafters, White showed that he could be a star in this league. In a performance that immensely delighted a near capacity crowd of 18,668 at the United Center, White drilled seven fourth-quarter 3s to help the Chicago Bulls thwart the visiting Knicks, 120-102, on Tuesday night (Wednesday morning RP time). "I just got into a rhythm," White told reporters of his exploits that turned an 85-85 tie after three quarters into a fourth quarter rout. Zach LaVine added 25 points while big man Wendell Carter Jr. had 17 points and 12 rebounds. Lauri Markkanen and Chris Dunn each had 13 for the Bulls who bounced back after being slaughtered by the Houston Rockets two days ago. Marcus Morris Sr accounted for 22 points for the Knicks. Taj Gibson and Julius Randle combined for 34 points and 11 rebounds but it fell short for a New York team that made only 36 of 88 shots (40.9 percent) from the field. The Bulls are still down deep in the Eastern Conference standings with a 4-7 slate and 11th place overall. The Knicks, meanwhile, sank to 2-9 and last place in the East.
