Bakbakan sa Babak on Sept. 7

DAVAO CITY ? The ?Bakbakan sa Babak? will be held on Sept. 7 at Babak District in Barangay Igacos (Island Garden of Samal) featuring the all-Samal City team against the Butuan City squad.
Pitted in the main event is Ian Donaire of Davao City against Anferne ?Impyerno? Palarca of Las Pinas City in the 6-round flyweight division. The 21-year old Donaire (3W-1L-0D, 2KO) lost for the first time by Remark Alicaba in a 1st round last Sept. 1 in Digos City. Donaire, however started with three straight wins from 2017.
He started with a 1st round knockout on Mark Mahilum of Negros Occidental last May 23, 2017 in Guihulngan City. In the second fight, Donaire beat by a unanimous decision Rolien Gelatada of Cebu last Oct. 13, 2017.
In Jan. 15, 2018, Donaire knockout Jayson Franciso (4W-0L) of Kidapawan in the 3rd round in Cagayaan de Oro City.
Palarca, 23, on the other hand, (3W-2L-0D, 1KO) also started with three straight victories before absorbing two losses.
Palarca first lost to Richard Claveras of Negros Occidental by a TKO in the 2nd round last 2014. He then retired Lony Cadayday of Davao Oriental in the 3rd round last 2016. Palarca never fought in 2017 and 2018. But he promised to make big comeback.
The under card are all in the 4-round divisions - .Nilo Entero vs. Mark Mapandi Golo; Jessie Bell Goltiano vs. James Junio; Silvestre Aredidon vs. Froilan Golo.
