Former WBA Interim bantamweight champion Raymart Gaballo (W21 KO18 L0 D0) tipped in the scales at 116.8 pounds while Colombian opponent Yeison Vargas (W17 KO12 L1) of Cartagena, Colombia made the exact 118 pound bantamweight limit. Both warriors are knockout artists as can be seen in their records. The fight will be Gaballo?s debut under Al Haymon?s PBC Promotions.
Gaballo had an easy time doing the weight. ?I really disciplined myself in my eating habits during training camp. I am so excited to fight in a brighter spotlight under PBC. My opponent is a killer as you see in his record. But I will bring it on to him. I have trained to win and stop him when the proper timing comes. I will make this an exciting fight. I want to give my management and promotion all the reasons to stage me in a world title fight next time?, Gaballo said.
Gaballo has been training in the US with Cuban head coach Moro Fernandez. Sanman CEO and Gaballo?s manager Jim Claude Manangquil has reiterated that his boxer will fight for a world title should he win this impressively.
