CHONGQING, CHINA- Filipino Vincent Astrolabio will face China?s He ZongLi for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Youth junior bantamweight title Saturday at the Yubei Sports Center in Yubei District, Chongqing. The Chinese boxer He (4-0,1KO) may be lacking in experience but he will have the home fans on his side. In his last fight, he beat the more experienced Filipino Diarh Gabutan, who already had 29 bouts under his belt, by unanimous decision for the WBC ABCO Silver superflyweight title. Astrolabio (12-2,8Ko?s), who hails from Gen.Santos City, scored a victory in Beijing last year, a unanimous verdict over Ayati Sailike of China. But he suffered a 4th round TKO loss to Japanese Yuki Strong Kobayashi on the undercard of Pacquiao-Matthysse in Malaysia. In his last fight, he stopped Thai Yokchanchai Yakaeo in one round in Butuan City.During the official weigh-in, ZongLi and Astrolabio were both at 114lbs. On the distaff side, Casey Morton of the U.S. will go for her second WBO regional belt against Thai Jutamas Jitpong for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific female junior bantamweight title. Morton has seen action twice in the Philippines. Last March, she beat another Thai, Kanchana Tungthaisong by unanimous decision in Para?aque City for the flyweight version of the WBO Asia Pacific title. Last year, Morton beat Thai boxers Phannaluk Kongsang (UD6) in Mandaue City,Cebu and Daorung Pakkhenathang (TKO 1)in Suzhou, China. Both Morton (7-0-3, 1KO) and Jitpong (4-2,2KO?s) stepped on the scales at 114lbs. The card?s main attraction will be the fight for the vacant WBC International super lightweight title between China?s Baishanbo Nasiyiwula and Venezuela?s Ernesto Espa?a. Espa?a (26-1-1,21Ko?s) comes from a boxing family, his father and uncle Ernesto and Crisanto both won world title belts. Nasiyiwula (14-2-1,6KO?s) has captured WBA and WBC regional belts and has beaten Filipino boxers like Sonny Katiangdagho, Nelson Tinampay and Dennis Padua. Nasiyiwula weighed 139.5lbs while Espa?awas at 139.25lbs. There will be four more non-title bouts on the undercard ?Zhang Qi Xiu (China) vs Achiko Odikadze (Georgia), Su Xiao Tao (China) vs Zakaria Miri (Morocco) , Yu YouGu (China) vs Yuya Nakamura (Japan) and Zhou Ruidong (China) vs Francisco Jose Borras (Spain).
