By Alvin Buensuceso PhilBoxing.com Wed, 12 Dec 2018

LOS ANGELES - In the backdrop of the "last dance" between former teammates and future Hall-of-Famers Lebron James and Dwyane Wade, Kyle Kuzma stole some of the limelight with a 33-point effort that catapulted the Los Angeles Lakers to a 108-105 victory over the Miami Heat on Monday night at Staples Center.
Once teammates with the Heat, where they won two titles in four straight NBA Finals appearances, the two All-Star are in the twilight of their careers that began simultaneously in 2003 when they entered the NBA draft. LeBron is still chasing rings in L.A. while Wade, after brief stints in Chicago and Cleveland, is set to retire at season's end.
James recorded 28 points and 12 rebounds while Wade, now coming off the bench on a young team, tallied 15 points and 10 assists in 32 minutes. The Lakers are currently in fifth place in the loaded Western Conference while the Heat ar 11-15 and ninth place in the Eastern Conference.
Justise Winslow etched 28 points and seven rebounds for Miami, which connected on just 42 of 94 field goals and 11 of 34 threes. Bam Abedayo added 12 points for the Heat.
