NBA -- Celtics hand Bulls worst loss in franchise history
By Phil Hatzitheodorou PhilBoxing.com Mon, 10 Dec 2018

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls suffered their worst loss in franchise history when the Boston Celtics gave them a 133-77 beatdown on Saturday night at the United Center.
Seven Celtics scored in double-figures as Jaylen Brown and Daniel Theis came off the bench for 23 and 22 points, respectively. Jayson Tatum had 18 points while Terry Rozier added 15 and seven assists. Kyrie Irving and Brad Wanamaker chipped in 13 apiece.
The Celtics opened the game on a 17-0 run and the Bulls never recovered from the blow. In the end, the Celtics made 50 of 93 field goals (53.8 percent) and 22 of 43 triples (51.2 percent). Boston also punished Chicago off the boards, 54-37 and won the assists battle, 34-16.
The 56-point licking eclipsed the Bulls' 53-point loss to the Sixers in 2001.
Shaquille Harrison led the Bulls with 20 off bench. Zach LaVine was held to 11 points in 18 minutes of play while Cameron Payne finished with 10. No other Bull scored in double figures.
Chicago missed 50 of 81 field goals and made only six of their 24 three-point attempts.
After a 10-10 start, the Celtics have reeled in five straight wins to move up to 15-10 and fifth place in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls, on the other hand, fell down the bottom of the East with a 6-21 card. It was Chicago's eighth loss in 10 outings.
