The two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors will host LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in a pre-season exhibition showdown on Friday, October 12 at the SAP Center in San Jose California.
As the catalyst for the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron faced the Warriors in the NBA Finals for four straight years, the last one this past June, which culminated in a four-game defeat. James, a four-time MVP then signed with Los Angeles as a free agent this summer. This is the first time he will face his bitter nemesis in purple-and-gold.
Unlike James, who is transitioning to yet another team, following a return to Cleveland and a fling in Miami, the Warriors are intact, led by Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Andre Iguodala and Shawn Livingston are just few of the remaing core players for the sturdy Warriors.
Home of San Jose Sharks of the (National Hockey League) NHL, the SAP Center seats a capacity crowd of 17,496. According to vividseats.com there about 316 tickets left for the event with the most expensive floor seat selling at $1,408 while the cheapest is $139 at section 205..
