Orbe leads formidable roster in IBP chess tourney

Atty. Cliburn Anthony A. Orbe will spearhead a strong cast battling in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)-Quezon City chess tournament on May 11, 2018 at the Function room of Bacolod Chicken Inasal at Quezon City Memorial Circle in Quezon City.
Atty. Orbe is fresh from a 5th place finish in the Philippine Executive Chess Association (PECA) Alphaland National Executive Chess Circuit held recently at the Vista Mall in Santa, Rosa, Laguna.
He beat National Master Allan Sasot in the penultimate round then subdued former University of Sto. Tomas (UST) standout and Pagcor engineer Ravel Canlas in the final round.
Other notable masters participating are Genoroso "Gene" Turqueza, Florand Garcia, Rolando Abo, Jerome Aragones, Rudy Artuz, Cresencio "Cris" Aspiras, Florendo Batasin, Philip King Cartagena, Jose Amado Genilo, Joselito Oliveros and Judylito Ulanday.
"Open to all Judges, Prosecutors, RTC Clerks of Court, PAO Lawyers and other Lawyers," said Tournament Director FIDE National Arbiter Alexander "Alex" Dinoy.
