Jerwin Ancajas Wants to Fight Roman Gonzalez
By Epifanio M. Almeda PhilBoxing.com Sun, 11 Dec 2016

IBF world junior bantamweight (super flyweight) champion Jerwin Ancajas, (25-1-1, 16 KOs), desires a unification fight with 4-division champion Roman ?Chocolatito? Gonzalez, (46-0-0, 38 KOs), of Nicaragua.
Gonzalez is the current number 1 pound-for-pound active fighter today. It is reported that Chocolatito plans to have 3 fights in 2017. Possible opponents mentioned were some of the champions in the 115-weight division but significantly, Jerwin, the IBF champion was not included in the list.
Jerwin would love to be one of the fighters Chocolatito would fight. Jerwin promises he will give Chocolatito a toe-to-toe fight from start to finish. It will be a fight worth the fans? money to witness.
Manager Joven Jimenez is confident Jerwin would give Chocolatito a hell of a fight. He even expects Jerwin to beat Gonzalez.
Jerwin wrested the IBF junior bantamweight title from McJoe Arroyo of Puerto Rico last September 3, 2016 at the Navy Gym in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, Philippines. Jerwin scored a knockdown in winning by unanimous decision which was applauded even by Arroyo himself when Jerwin?s hand was raised in victory.
Jerwin will figure in a non-title fight against a yet to be named opponent in January next year before he defends his title against whoever is the mandatory challenger by that time. His third fight for next year is his dream fight against Gonzalez.
