CEBU CITY ? The inmates and visitors inside the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) were treated to a five professional bouts Sunday night. The boxing show also had amateur contests featuring detainees who seriously trained for their chance to show their skills inside the ring.

In the ten round main event, Magos R. Singwangcha (Romnick Magos) prevailed over Ryan Tampus by technical decision in a blood tinged battle.

They fought at close quarters right from the start but a clash of heads in the third inflicted cuts on both boxers. Magos had a cut on his left eyebrow while Tampus was bleeding from the middle of his scalp near the forehead.

Tampus continued to be in the fight but Magos? midsection assault took their toll. The cornermen of both boxers managed to stop the bleeding but Tampus faded in the sixth. Magos kept his pressure;Tampus still managed to engage but looked spent at the end of the seventh. Tampus' cut also resumed bleeding prompting the stoppage. Magos was ahead on the scores of Judges' Teddy Alivio (77-75) and Edgar Olalo (77-75) while Edward Ligas had it 76 all.
