NBA-- Cavs topple Heat to extend home win streak to 17
By Mariano Cueva PhilBoxing.com Sun, 05 Apr 2015
CLEVELAND?The Cavaliers' bench came up big against the Heat at the Q Arena.
Iman Shumpert had a season-high 17 points, Matthew Dellavedova had 14 points and Tristan Thompson added eight points and 15 rebounds to help the Cavaliers toppled the Miami Heat, 114-88.
"The main thing that we want from the bench is to come in with a defensive mindset, keep the tempo and play the game the right way," said LeBron James, who finished with 23 points, eight assists and seven rebounds.
"And anytime we get scoring off the bench, it's huge for us. It's something that we don't bank on. But tonight Shump was great, as far as his scoring. Delly chipped in. Double T ( Tristan Thompson) was a monster on the boards. And we didn't lose a step when those guys came in. That's what it's about," James added.
With the win, the Cavs extended their home win streak to 17. The Cavs also evened their season series with Miami at 2-2
Hassan Whiteside and Luol Deng each had 17 to lead Miami, but the Heat made only 32 of 75 shots (42.7 percent) and 7 of 21 from 3-point range (33.3 percent).
