MILWAUKEE -- The Cleveland Cavaliers used a 34-13 second half run to beat the Milwaukee Bucks, 108-90, on Sunday afternoon at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
The Cavs' explosion turned a 73-67 third quarter deficit into a 101-86 fourth quarter lead that eventually led to Milwaukee's sixth consecutive loss.
LeBron James led the Cavaliers with 28 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. J.R. Smith drilled 7 triples for 23 points while Kyrie Irving had 20 and 7 assists. It was more than enough for Cleveland, who solidified its hold of second place in the Eastern Conference standings with a 46-26 record.
Winners of three straight, the Cavs ended up making 42 of their 84 field goals, including 13 of 31 triples.
The Bucks shot a higher percentage (54.3 percent on 38 of 70 shots) but they got cold during Cleveland's run.
"For any team, not just LeBron, when you give guys free opportunities like that they're going to make you pay for it and they did," Bucks head coach Jason Kidd told reporters after the disappointing loss in which his team led for the most part until the Cavs cranked up the hear,
Michael Carter-Williams led the Bucks with 19 points and 5 assists. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton each had 15 while Ersan Ilyasovic added 14 and 6 rebounds.
Milwaukee hopes to end their six game slide on Tuesday when they host the Miami Heat.
