NBA -- Bulls' Butler to miss 3-to-6 six weeks with sprained elbow

CHICAGO -- After losing star point guard Derrick Rose to a meniscus tear for at least four months, the Chicago Bulls received more bad news on Monday when an MRI revealed a sprained left elbow to another prominent player.
According to an ESPN report, Jimmy Butler was diagnosed with a "Grade 2/3 ulnar ligament sprain and a small bone impaction He will be out for three to six weeks but will not require surgery, just rest and treatment.
The two-way guard sustained the injury in the third quarter of the Bulls' 96-86 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers in Sunday afternoon at the United Center. While chasing Chris Paul, Butler got tangled in a pick set by Clippers center DeAndre Jordan, who is 6-foot-11 and 266 pounds.
Butler, 25, is in his fourth year in the NBA after being drafter by the Bulls as their 30th pick (1st Round) in the 2011 NBA draft.
A product of Marquette University, Butler rose to become an All-Star this season, averaging 20.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 55 games.
