NBA -- Magic cast upset spell on Bulls, 121-114
By Kelly Manalo PhilBoxing.com Wed, 14 Jan 2015

CHICAGO - The Orlando Magic snapped their six game losing streak by beating the Chicago Bulls, 121-114, on Monday night at the United Center.
The Magic had it rolling all night as they shot a season high 59 percent from the field. They were led by Nikola Vucevic and Victor Oladipo who both scored 33 points. The play of the game came in the third quarter when Vucevic drove to the hoop and threw down a monstrous left handed dunk over Pau Gasol.
Chicago was led by Pau Gasol again who had a career night of 46 points against the Milwaukee Bucks Saturday night. Gasol finished Monday's tiff with 28 points and 14 rebounds. Derrick Rose returned to the starting lineup and looked sharp chipping in 18 and had numerous strong drives to the basket showing his strength and athleticism.
The Bulls did not have a good rhythm on the defensive side of the ball. They were overly aggressive and fouled the Magic numerous times and Orlando was able to capitalize with multiple three point plays.
Chicago tried to comeback in the fourth period with their strong bench play and cut the Magic lead to 3 points, but Orlando snuffed every run made and was able to hold on for the victory.
Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau was upset on his team?s play especially on the defensive end.
?We got to decide what we want to be. We must work a lot harder and have better intensity.?
The Orlando Magic will return home to host the Houston Rockets, while Chicago will play the Washington Wizards at home on Wednesday night after dropping their last meeting on Friday night.
