NBA -- Clippers snap 2-game skid, trip Warriors, 100-86 By Hector Posa PhilBoxing.com Sat, 27 Dec 2014 CHICAGO -- In the nightcap of the NBA"s five-game Christmas Day spectacular, the Los Angeles Clippers dealt the Golden State Warriors another rare loss, scoring a 100-86 decision at Staples Center on Thursday night. The Clippers shot poorly from the field -- only 34 of 87 (39.1 percent) but after trailing 42-41 at halftime, they put together a 59-44 second half spurt to turn the tables on the Warriors and snap their own two-game slide. Jamal Crawford, who swished four triples, provided the spark off the bench with 24 points to lead the Clippers. Chris Paul had 22 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Blake Griffin dished 18 and 15 boards, DeAndre Jordan added 14 and J.J. Redick 11 as the Clippers improved to 20-10. The Warriors converted 34 of their 80 field goals for a respectable 42.5 percent, but they missed 22 of 28 triples and missed 12 of 22 free throws. "We're not invincible. We have to play the way we're supposed to play -- at our highest level -- in order to win games. If you don't you're susceptible to getting beat," Warriors point guard Steph Curry told ESPN. Curry and his backcourt mate, Klay Thompson, led the Warriors with 14 and 15 points, respectively. Curry and Thompson, however, made only a combined 11-of-30 field goals. Harrison Barnes finished with 12 and 13 rebounds. Despite their second straight setback, the Warriors kept the best record in the NBA with a 23-5 slate.
