?Calibre? Gonzales renews SBB contract
By Dennis U. Eroa PhilBoxing.com Tue, 28 Oct 2014

BECAUSE he loves staying with Saved by the Bell Promotion, world title-prospect Roberto ??Calibre?? Gonzales decided to renew his contract with SBB headed by well-loved Batangue?o sportsman Elmer Anuran.
Gonzales, a native of Romblon, Romblon before being discovered in tourist-magnet Puerto Galera, said he is elated by the treatment and support of SBB. He promised to work doubly-hard to achieve his life-long dream of nailing a world title.
??I would like to thank Boss Elmer for giving me the chance to stay with SBB. I?m proud to be part of SBB,?? said Gonzales, who sports an impressive 24 (KO 15)-2-0 win-loss draw card.
After losing twice in 2012 (Hirohito Fukuhara, Sambo Hall in Kobe, Japan) and Ryan Sermona, Puerto Galera Gym in Oriental Mindoro), the 5-foot-6 Gonzales bounced back in style. He recently knocked out Mark Sales in the third round of their fight last September at Mandaluyong Gym.
Gonzales became the latest prospect to join SBB. Recently, Bernabe ??Abe?? Concepcion signed up with SBB. Anuran expressed confidence that the ??Real Deal?? will revive his career with SBB.
In an earlier interview, Anuran said the fire to excel remains inside the belly of Concepcion (32-6-1, 18 KOS) who was once hailed as the next Pinoy boxing superstar before unfortunate setbacks hit his path to greatness.
Anuran said he expects Gonzales to fight at 130 pounds (Super featherweight (WBA, WBC), junior lightweight (WBO, IBF).
??Gonzales is another darling of the masses in the making. He is more matured now. I think he is ready to rumble,?? said Anuran. ??SBB will give him the needed breaks with the world title in mind. I?m sure ring fans are eagerly waiting for this kid.??
