NBA -- Warriors rebounds from rare home loss, beat Blazers, 136-111

OAKLAND - After a disappointing first home loss against the Boston Celtics last Friday, Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors bounced back in style and won their 69th game of the season.

The victory moved the Warriors four games away from breaking the NBA record of 72 wins in a single season set by the great Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls during the 1995-96 season.

Draymond Green recorded his 13th triple-double of the season, second only to Ruseel Westbrook of the OKC Thunder. Green scored 22 points, 10 boards and 10 assists. Klay Thompson pitched in 21 points, 6 dimes and 7 boards for the 40th time this season the team had 30 or more assist in the game leading all of NBA.

Stephen Curry led all scorers with an effortless 39 points as the Warriors avenged a debacle in which the Boston Celtics snapped the 54 consecutive home winning streak.

Stephen Curry goes up against Damian Lillard during the Warriors-Blazers game at the Oracle Arena in Oakland Sunday.

Curry said after the game "The negative energy of over analyzing situation or even mild panic in not necessary right now. We've got a pretty good focus as a unit of how we can bounce back from losses and just stay true to who we are."

It was a lot of fun and the sold out crowd inside Oracle Arena were in for a treat as two of the league's premier point guards went at it. With just under 3 minutes on the third period, Stephen Curry scored 4 of his 9th behind the arc. Lillard trying to keep his team in the game, answered back scoring 5 big buckets during the run. Lillard led his team with 38 points.

C. J. McCollum contributed 18 points, but the Warriors bench out scoring the Trailblazer 42 to 22 was to much to over come.

The local kid Damian Lillard said after the game... "He was not going to back down, It turned into what it was but I don't think it me against you type of thing. He made a play for his team and I came down and did the same.

Portland Trailblazer will head down to Sacramento to face the Kings next as the Golden State will stay home to host the Wolves on Tuesday. (RPM)
