Eight-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao will defend his WBO Welterweight title against unbeaten Chris Algieri on November 22 from The Venetian in Macau.
Pacquiao (56-5, 38 KO) is attempting to win back-to-back title bouts for the first time since 2011 when he beat Juan Manuel Marquez in their third clash.
Algieri (20-0, 8 KO) is coming off a controversial split decision victory over Russian Ruslan Provodnikov (23-3, 16 KO). While Provodnikov landed the harder, cranium smashing punches, Algieri jabbed and kept Provodnikov at bay for a majority of the night with his footwork, which earned him a shot at ?Pacman.?
Pacquiao avenged his 2012 loss to Timothy Bradley in his most recent bout this past April. Although Bradley controlled the majority of the first half of the bout, Pacquiao made adjustments and shut out Bradley the rest of the way to earn himself the victory.
