WE wuz robbed, the camp of people’s featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao said after the slambang slugfest at the MGM Grand Hotel arena last Sunday (Saturday in Las Vegas).
Filipinos who watched the fight in Las Vegas as well as those who watched it on TV in the Philippines echoed their cry. Had the fight been judged correctly, we would now have a double world featherweight champion in Pacquiao.
But there are others who said the decision of a draw between Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez was possibly fair, considering that the former absorbed more blows (158) than the latter (148).
