Despite changes in his camp, a legal battle regarding his promotional status and a heated political campaign in his native Philippines, super featherweight superstar Manny Pacquiao commented today that none of these distractions have affected him and he’s fully concentrating on his training, in great shape and focused on his April 14 fight in San Antonio against unbeaten Jorge Solis. “I can do many things at one time,” says Manny. On the fight with Solis: He’s a good fighter, he’s undefeated, he has power and he wants to take advantage of this fight. …I saw his style and we have a lot of techniques for him but we don’t want to tell you that. It’s a secret….I want to do my best to make people happy and give a good fight. On the change in trainers: I think Justin [Fortune] and Freddie Roach are the same for me because we’ve been together and training for the last four years and he knows what we do in the training. On running for office: It’s a decision from my heart to help the poor people….I’ll still continue my boxing career. Boxing is my job and that’s my sport….I’m confident that I can manage both. On litigation outside the ring: The case is in the court and I don’t want to talk about that. On fighting again in San Antonio: I remember the last fight against Barrera there was a lot of Mexican people. I hope this coming fight will be 50/50 Filipino and Mexican people.
