Lawmakers congratulated Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao who fought for the nation?s pride and honor till the end and expressed confidence that a rematch will be won by Pacquiao.
Lakas-CMD Reps. Monico Puentevella of Bacolod City and Exequiel Javier of Antique said Pacquiao deserves praise for fighting hard and withstanding the onslaught of Marquez.
Puentevella, chairman of the House committee on youth and sports and development, said Pacquiao did his best. In fact he tried to knock out Marquez in the first round but there was not enough time, he said.
