I couldn?t believe it when I heard it. The biggest fight of the past decade, century and millennium is being rescheduled. Why o why did this have to happen?
I heard through the grapevine that Floyd Mayweather Jr. has injured his wrist while doing what he does best, count stacks of money. He?s not too bad at boxing either. While visiting the Ferrari dealership at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, Floyd allegedly was hand counting out three hundred thousand dollars and injured his wrist as he reached the one hundred eighty thousand mark.
What is he, the Grant Hill of boxing? While I can honestly say I?ve never counted out that much money let alone had access to that much moolah, I doubt I would have injured myself in doing so. I heard that there are such things as thousand dollar bills. Maybe Floyd should have upgraded to the bigger form of bills to avoid the strain.
All the momentum that had built up for the May 5th showdown is now down the drain. The press tour, the HBO build-up, the promotion, all gone. It?s going to start all over again for the September 16th showdown and I for one, am not looking forward to it.
I could get used to this April Fools thing. It?s a lot easier than actually coming up with any real facts? as if my articles ever contain any real facts. Happy April 1st people!
