Klitschko was having lunch at Mama Mia?s in Hollywood, Florida, when Briggs barged in and made a fool of himself?
Former heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs continues to pester Wladimir Klitschko. He seems to believe that if he?s too annoying to ignore, Klitschko will eventually give Briggs the title shot he desires, but hasn?t earned and doesn?t deserve.
The latest incident occurred this afternoon. Klitschko was having lunch at Mama Mia?s in Hollywood, Florida, when Briggs barged in and proceeded to make a fool of himself.
Wearing a sleeveless white tee-shirt and red sweat pants, Briggs shouted at Klitschko, ?What?s up, champ? I told you, everywhere you go I go, champ. Everywhere you go I go, champ. Everything you do I do, champ. I train, champ. You train, champ. Let?s fight, champ.? Briggs pounded his chest for emphasis. ?What you do, I do. What you eat, I eat, champ.?
Briggs grabbed the bowl from which Klitschko was eating and theatrically pulled it toward him. He then began shoveling food into his mouth. In a rare moment of clarity, Briggs realized that one shouldn?t eat standing up, so he pulled out a chair and sat down.
Klitschko reached across the table to sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese on what had been his lunch. Briggs continued to ramble with his mouth full, which him even less intelligible than when his mouth was empty.
Klitschko, ever the gentleman, asked Briggs if he wanted something to drink. Briggs continued to eat as if he was starving. ?Thanks champ,? he said. ?Thanks champ. Thanks champ.?
The champ poured some bottled water into a glass.
Briggs, with food falling from his mouth, asked Klitschko, ?How ya doin?, champ??
Klitschko asked Briggs, ?Want some water?? whereupon he lifted the glass and poured its contents over Briggs? head.
Briggs didn?t take kindly to Rev. Klitschko?s baptism. It?s okay if he acts like a jerk. It?s not okay of someone else acts like a jerk.
Like a heavy in a B-movie, Briggs swept his arm across the table, knocking everything to the floor to the sound of breaking glass. Then he jumped up and made a move for Klitschko.
Two guys in the restaurant restrained Briggs, telling him to ?Take it outside. Take it outside. Take it outside,? as they wrestled him to the floor.
While Briggs was being shoved from the restaurant he kept shouting in disbelief, ?You threw water on my head? You threw water on my head??
According to TMZ, ?Briggs slipped and fell because he was wearing flip flops … he claims, and also because one of Wlad?s boys was rushing him. Briggs says he went to the emergency room with cuts on his foot and leg from broken glass … but won?t need stitches.?
We know Briggs is from Brooklyn, but that?s no excuse.
