THE first international Pinoy Pride has been pushed to a later date.
Instead of Aug. 29, Pinoy Pride 27? Duel in Dubai will now be on Sept. 5 still at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer said the event was postponed to give way to more sponsors.
?More sponsors want to come in so we thought to move it and give it more time,? Aldeguer said.
The event features two of ALA Gym?s promising unbeaten prospects, Genesis Servania and Arthur Villanueva, plus fan favorite Rey ?Boom-Boom? Bautista.
Servania (24-0, 10 KOs) will defend his World Boxing Organization (WBO) Inter-Continental super bantamweight crown against former world title contender Jose Cabrera (22-4-2, 10 KOs) in the main event.
Servania is being groomed for a world title shot anytime soon. He is rated highly in the world ? second in the WBO and ninth in the International Boxing Federation (IBF).
Villanueva (25-0, 14 KOs) guns for the vacant IBF International super flyweight belt against Nicaraguan Henry Manldonado (18-3, 13 KOs).
