LAS VEGAS, Nevada — If you’re worried, Manny Pacquiao isn’t.
After skipping dinner Thursday, Pacquiao breezed through the championship weigh-in at 125 lbs. on Friday, then swooped down on a hefty lunch of beef nilaga (stew), chop suey, boiled eggs and fresh oranges.
Not to worry, Pacquiao said, but he himself cannot drop his guard — the way he did with the food tray Friday — when he boxes tough Juan Manuel Marquez whose twin world — World Boxing Association (WBA) and International Boxing Federation (IBF) — featherweight boxing championship belts he tries to wrest Saturday night here (Sunday morning in Manila).
A strong option for Pacquiao is to seize the advantage early, sustain it, and put Marquez on the defensive.
