There was good and bad in boxing this week.
The good is tonight’s featherweight showdown between IBF and WBA champion Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand Garden.
The bad is the desperate attempt by Wladimir Klitschko’s camp to cast doubt on his fifth-round knockout loss to Lamon Brewster on April 10 at Mandalay Bay. Judd Burstein, an attorney for Klitschko, wrote a letter to Daniel Bogden, U.S. Attorney for Nevada, asking for an investigation into the fight. Burstein suggests there was foul play and Klitschko might have been drugged.
