SOON life will spring at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC) boxing gym as the Cebu City Sports Commission is now planning to attract local talents.
This Saturday a seminar will be conducted at the CCSC for aspiring boxers and boxing officials from the barangays in Cebu.
“As of now, we only have two boxers training here at the gym. Hopefully after this seminar we will be training more kids,” said boxing coach and former two-time world champion Doddie Boy Pe?alosa.
The whole day seminar will teach the participants the rudiments of boxing, the most common punching styles and the important techniques in throwing a punch.
After the seminar, a tournament will be held on March 24 at the Guadalupe Sports Complex for the participants.
Aside from Pe?alosa and his co-trainer Efren Tabanas, former Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines jury and international referee and judge Willy Flores will provide technical know-how to the aspiring fighters. (RCM)
