One minute, Manny Pacquiao says he is “doing the same training I did for Marco Antonio Barrera.”
The next, he says something that could spell doom for Juan Manuel Marquez tonight in their WBA and IBF featherweight title fight at the MGM Grand.
“I have trained hard for this fight,” Pacquiao said. “I am in better shape than I was for Barrera.”
If that’s true, Marquez is probably in for the fight of his life. Then again, Pacquiao could also be in for a rough night.
Pacquiao knocked out Barrera in the 11th round last November to shock the boxing world. But that doesn’t mean Pacquiao, nicknamed “Pac-Man,” will be able to eat up Marquez the same way.
