Saturday, April 12 2014 Live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, HBO Pay Per View Timothy Bradley (31-0) vs. Manny Pacquiao (53-5-3) for the WBO welterweight title- For Timothy Bradley (31-0) to be able to defeat Manny Pacquiao, this time without the controversy. Bradley must find creative ways to steal rounds away from his foe. Bradley needs to be on the move and force Manny to think a lot more than he is used to. Give the kid different angles, fire out the jab in doubles and triples, and make Pacquiao pay for every little mistake made. I would also rip Manny with 3-4 punch combinations then rapidly circle out. Manny Pacquiao (53-5-3) on the other hand, must stay on Tim and make him feel the heat of the right hand. Pacquiao needs to be careful to not hop in during each strike, Juan Manuel Marquez picked up on this great flaw and was able to turn the lights off on Manny. If Pacquiao can mix up his assault from bottom to top with full aggression, Bradley?s countering opportunities will then slowly diminish. It?s one thing to counter a fighter with average power when he is unloading on you, but it?s an entirely different animal in trying to check a fighter with incredible speed and power. Bradley should study the way that Steve Cunningham was able to pull out distance eating tactics to throw Mansour completely off balance in the second half of their heavyweight fight last week. Bottom line, I see this one ending with another decision. The effective aggression part of the scoring will see both sides of the coin that may once again cause controversy. I feel Bradley will do better this time compared to their first battle, but I also see Pacquiao also doing better than he did the first time around. With that being said, I am taking Pacquiao to get his redemption in a unanimous decision.
