LAS VEGAS ? Juan Manuel Marquez and the man who will yell instructions from his corner admitted on Thursday that Manny Pacquiao poses a serious threat to the Mexican?s bid to keep his World Boxing Association and International Boxing Federation 126-lb belts.
“Muy deficil (It?s going to be hard),” Marquez said through an interpreter during the final press conference for Saturday night?s slambang show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
“I won?t just leave my titles here on Saturday. I won?t say anything more and I will just let my fists do all the talking during the fight,” added Marquez, who parades a fearsome 42-2 win-loss card with 33 knockouts.
Nacho Beristain did not mince words in praising Pacquiao, who the revered Mexican cornerman labeled as being a “special southpaw.”
