DANA White, the outspoken president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, never runs out of colorful opinion. Not even if the topic was on Floyd Mayweather, who is currently the acknowledged pound-for-pound best boxer today.
Guesting in the most recent edition of the Arsenio Hall show, Dana was asked by host Arsenio Hall: ?I?d wonder if the best, currently, in boxing?Mayweather. How would he do against your (UFC) best??
White answered without hesitation: ?He?d (Mayweather) get murdered.?
Before Hall could butt in, White swiftly went into a narrative of what to expect.
?He?d get murdered in the UFC. This guy (Mayweather) talks about this crossover stuff. Bottom line is? the disrespect that these guys show for each other?s sport. My guy?s thinking that he could go over there and box. And Floyd?s thinking that he could come over here in the UFC. It?s like you go to a knife fight with a guy and the other guy?s got guns, and chains, and crowbars. There?s so many more weapons in the UFC than unarmed boxing. It just makes no sense.?

?Walang magagawa si Mayweather sa MMA cage,? said Raysaldo Biagtan, owner and head coach of Biagtan Muay Thai- MMA Gym based in Dasmari?as, Cavite.
Biagtan set as perfect example the fight between decorated college wrestler and former UFC champion Randy Couture and former world boxing heavyweight champion James Toney in UFC 118 held at the Boston Garden three years ago.
Couture parried Toney?s boxing and immediately took a shot to the legs and mounted the former for the ground-and pound. Couture eventually submitted Toney with a triangle choke in 3:19 of the first round. No boxer dared to step into the Octagon again after that swift display of MMA techniques.
Brico Santig of Highland Boxing Promotion said boxing is a much different world in combat sport. ?Boxing is just a part of the totality of MMA. If Mayweather will try the Octagon, all he?d do is run. He can?t do his ducking and weaving in MMA or he will be taken down.?
But Biagtan said if Mayweather would train wrestling and grappling, he would stand a chance. ?Pero kung mag te-training din si Mayweather ng MMA, may laban pero kung boxing lang ang main skill na ipapakita niya sa cage, walang mangyayari sa kanya.?
